  • When browsing the shelves of Emile Hermès' library, Virginie Jamin came across a treatise on equestrianism, published in Germany in the 18th century. She took inspiration from one of the plates in this work that depicts the patterns traced on the ground by natural and artificial horse gaits to produce an ornamental design, a free expression of the repertoire of equestrian braiding. With its elegant and simple asymmetrical composition, this scarf celebrates the craftsmanship of adornment.
